Lowell Spencer- Streetsboro's first Mayor!
Visiting the museum are Jean Spencer Lefurgy and her brother Dick Spencer.  Their father was elected the first Mayor on November 6th, 1968. 
Lowell & Mary Spencer moved their two children into this home which still stands at 8895 Seasons Rd in 1952.  The home was built in the early 1840's and was once owned by JW Clark.
Mary Downer Spencer passed away on Sunday October 21st, 2012 at the age of 100.

Streetsboro's long-awaited new firetruck has arrived.  Inspecting the three-stage 1,000-gallon pumper unit are (l-r) Mayor Lowell Spencer, Gerald Bontrager, Fire Chief Joe Goray and William Jahn.  The new $29,000 truck will replace a 20-year old model will give the 21-member fire department a total of five pieces of equipment.  Purchase of the truck was made possible by the passage of a two-mill police and fire levy approved by voters two years ago.
Judge Robert Cook (right) performed official swearing in ceremonies for Streetsboro's first village officials, Monday night during a special program staged at the high school.  Receiving the oath of office are (from left) Councilmen Harry Harvey, Robert White, Ronald Campbell, David Danner, Robert Shope, Robert French and Mayor Lowell Spencer.
